Luis Antonio Carcas Armingol<\/strong>, from Casa Pedro restaurant in Zaragoza<\/strong>, has been named champion of the XIV National Tapas Competition<\/strong> for his tapa \u201cLa Mar de Pincho\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the winner of the 2nd World Tapas Championship<\/strong> was Shuyun Chen<\/strong> from Bellota by Peter Gordon<\/strong> in Auckland, New Zealand<\/strong>, with her dish Crispy rice with tuna rolls and pickled vegetables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both winners received a \u20ac6,000 cash prize<\/strong>, further solidifying this competition as one of the most significant culinary events in Valladolid\u2019s calendar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“This 14th edition saw 48 finalists in the National Competition<\/strong> and 16 contestants in the World Tapas Championship<\/strong> competing at the highest level.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This year, sweet and mellow flavors<\/strong> took center stage, reflecting emerging trends in modern Spanish cuisine<\/strong>. One particularly noticeable trend was the \u201cfinger-food\u201d style<\/strong>, where tapas are designed to be eaten in one or two bites, without utensils<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
