{"id":11922,"date":"2024-11-03T12:50:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-03T11:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tastingspain.socialypsum.com\/?p=11922"},"modified":"2025-02-12T13:42:12","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T12:42:12","slug":"the-zaragoza-and-province-tapas-competition-returns-in-november-for-its-27th-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tastingspain.socialypsum.com\/en\/the-zaragoza-and-province-tapas-competition-returns-in-november-for-its-27th-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"The Zaragoza and Province Tapas Competition Returns in November for Its 27th Edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>27th Edition of the Zaragoza and Province Tapas Competition<\/strong> was officially presented yesterday at the <strong>Pablo Gargallo Museum courtyard<\/strong> in Zaragoza.<\/p>\n<p>The event featured speeches from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Carmen Urbano G\u00f3mez<\/strong>, Director General of <strong>Agri-Food Promotion and Innovation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gloria P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, Director General of <strong>Tourism<\/strong>, both representing the <strong>Government of Arag\u00f3n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Marteles Gracia<\/strong>, President of the <strong>Professional Association of Caf\u00e9 and Bar Entrepreneurs of Zaragoza and Province<\/strong>, the organizing entity<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sara Fern\u00e1ndez Escuer<\/strong>, Deputy Mayor and <strong>Councilor for Tourism, Culture, and External Projection<\/strong>, who hosted the event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also in attendance were <strong>representatives from Coca-Cola, Cervezas \u00c1mbar, TGT, and Grandes Vinos y Vi\u00f1edos<\/strong> as sponsors, along with <strong>Makro, Ricma, Caja Rural de Arag\u00f3n, and Dr. Sch\u00e4r<\/strong> as event collaborators.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>A Return to Tradition in November<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After the <strong>26th edition was exceptionally held in September 2021<\/strong> due to <strong>COVID-19 restrictions<\/strong>, the competition returns to its <strong>traditional month of November<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the competition has <strong>two main objectives<\/strong>:<br \/>\n1\ufe0f\u20e3 <strong>Showcasing the talent and creativity<\/strong> of Zaragoza\u2019s hospitality sector<br \/>\n2\ufe0f\u20e3 <strong>Boosting local consumption<\/strong> amid economic uncertainty<\/p>\n<p>To incentivize participation, the <strong>first 40,000 purchases<\/strong> will come with a <strong>scratch card<\/strong>, offering chances to win:<br \/>\n\ud83c\udf81 <strong>Coca-Cola product bundles<\/strong><br \/>\n\ud83c\udf81 <strong>Ambar Especial beer bundles<\/strong><br \/>\n\ud83c\udf81 <strong>Tours of the Zaragozana brewery<\/strong><br \/>\n\ud83c\udf81 <strong>TGT cheese product bundles<\/strong><br \/>\n\ud83c\udf81 <strong>Cooking courses at the Caf\u00e9 and Bar Training Center of Zaragoza and Province<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, <strong>tourists and locals<\/strong> can collect a <strong>&#8220;passport&#8221;<\/strong> from participating establishments or <strong>Tourism Offices in Plaza de Espa\u00f1a and Plaza del Pilar<\/strong>.
