A Coru\u00f1a, June 29, 2023<\/strong> \u2013 The gastronomic sector of A Coru\u00f1a<\/strong> is launching the first edition of the Bonito del Norte Gastronomic Days<\/strong>, taking place in restaurants across the city from July 15 to August 15<\/strong>. Organized by Coru\u00f1a Coci\u00f1a<\/strong>, a collective of local chefs, this initiative is supported by the A Coru\u00f1a City Council<\/strong> through the Tourism and Congress Consortium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event aims to highlight the culinary excellence<\/strong> of bonito (white tuna)<\/strong> sourced directly from the A Coru\u00f1a Fish Market<\/strong>, a product of exceptional gastronomic value<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        A Key Initiative for A Coru\u00f1a\u2019s Tourism Industry<\/strong><\/h3>\n

        During the opening event, Mois\u00e9s Jorge Naranjo<\/strong> expressed his gratitude to Coru\u00f1a Coci\u00f1a<\/strong> for spearheading this initiative, stating:
        \n“This project greatly enhances the city’s tourism appeal.”<\/em><\/p>\n

        He also highlighted the crucial role of the A Coru\u00f1a Fish Market<\/strong> in the local culinary scene, emphasizing its high-quality seafood<\/strong>, particularly through the Peixe da Lonxa da Coru\u00f1a<\/strong> brand, which guarantees excellence.<\/p>\n

        According to Jorge Naranjo<\/strong>, gastronomy plays a fundamental role<\/strong> in A Coru\u00f1a\u2019s tourism strategy<\/strong>, particularly in the development of MICE tourism<\/strong> (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions):
        \n“It is one of the main reasons A Coru\u00f1a is chosen for major events. Last year, the city hosted 22 congresses and 11 trade fairs<\/strong>, attracting 200,000 professionals<\/strong>. This is possible thanks to initiatives like this, as well as the dedication of the restaurant sector and the support of companies like Estrella Galicia<\/strong>.”<\/em><\/p>\n
