“This project greatly enhances the city’s tourism appeal.”
He also highlighted the crucial role of the A Coruña Fish Market in the local culinary scene, emphasizing its high-quality seafood, particularly through the Peixe da Lonxa da Coruña brand, which guarantees excellence.
According to Jorge Naranjo, gastronomy plays a fundamental role in A Coruña’s tourism strategy, particularly in the development of MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions):
“It is one of the main reasons A Coruña is chosen for major events. Last year, the city hosted 22 congresses and 11 trade fairs, attracting 200,000 professionals. This is possible thanks to initiatives like this, as well as the dedication of the restaurant sector and the support of companies like Estrella Galicia.”
